Hi, I am Dan Lail - a film collector since 1995. I became interested in creating a home cinema in 1972. My first 16MM Films were rentals from the local library. These were used for "movie viewings" in my basement with friends and neighbors. At that time, I owned a Super 8 Anscomatic camera and a Eumig Sound projector. I made several experimental films, adding my own soundtrack after editing the films. At present, my projection equipment consists of several Bell & Howell 1500 Series 16MM Projectors and two Elmo Super 8 Projectors(one is an ST-1200HD and a GS-1200 - both Opt/Mag). My viewing room is a finished great room in my basement, complete with fireplace, an 8'x6' Flat Screen, and a 12'x4' Scope Screen. The sound is run through a 170 Watt Stereo Amp with both front and back speakers. Below are some pictures of my screening room.
